Events

In addition to direct fundraising outreach, Kinnect holds three major fundraising events each year.

  • Spring “FUN” Raiser: Celebrate springtime with us! Learn about how Kinnect is working toward its goal of connecting all children with a safe, loving, permanent family, eat some good food, enjoy beverages, and have a great time.
  • Golf Outing: Fore! Our summertime golf outing sells out each year. Form a team and win the “scramble”, or just come along for dinner and beverages, prize drawings and the silent auction.
  • Scrabble Tournament: Word nerds, Unite! In autumn, join hosts Vicki Nowak and Todd Webster for a fast-paced and entertaining afternoon of the world’s premier crossword game, plus food and beverages.

Kinnect also is a primary sponsor of the annual Family Finding Convening. The Convening shares best-practice approaches to finding, engaging, and supporting family members for children, offers self-assessment of a county’s current state of practice, guides counties in short and long-term action planning, and elevates our collective voice by developing a needs assessment report to be presented to state leaders and advocates.

Heroes and Villains: Our Spring Fun-Raiser

The 13th Annual FUNraiser was a huge success!  We announced our new name, raise a significant amount of fund, viewed our new short film, and celebrated the accomplishments of the organization over the last 12 years.  We look forward to sharing photos, the total raised, and more with you in the coming weeks.  Thank you for your support!
